Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Acquisition target?

The leadership has done a very good job streamlining the org and removing barbs. It has the hybrid story down perfectly and what we do in CSG is ki-ling it on market.

Ideal time for someone like Microsoft to swoop in and take the market front to back.

Chuck’s departure was an ethics violation. No one in Dell’s history had a separation email so short.

Microsoft already gets their pound of flesh from every system sold with an MS OS installed on a Dell, Lenovo, Sony, HP and ...

Why would they want to alienate the other manufacturers?

Whatever acquisition that was in the works is dead now. Pretty sure underlying reason for Chuck departure. Do less with less was not the rallying cry of a company looking to win the market. Rather the rallying cry of a company about to be acquired.

Let’s see what happens now.

"It would make sense if Michael wanted to retire and do philanthropy. I can see it happening once he gets his Vmware money from Broadcom."
