Last time I checked, nobody gets million+ dollar salary raise for poor performance. Wait I’m wrong. Think…how many families affected by layoff could have been saved? How many families now struggling for need of health insurance? Pause and think about that the next time you hear HILS and CULTURE and “everyone is happy to be in office I see no problems here!” While those above you are planning to mass outsource teams and cut your insurance. Ferraris and million dollar mansions and nice fat bonuses available but not for you.

Betting the Q&A section of the employee meeting will be most canned, with inane nonsense like "what keeps you up at night, hard working Wayne?" Anyone who asks anything remotely provocative or posts anything in Slack that gets a lot of upvotes by employees will get a free target circle on their back!
People are scared and scrambling. They do not want to be a target, and who can blame them?
Its been really incredible how little this has been discussed internally. I know employees have a natural hesitation to overtly criticize leaders in fear of retaliation, but it seems like a fair and well-documented detail that Wayne's salary (the part of the salary that's publicly available) went up by a significant amount. I assume their pre-selecting all questions nowadays in townhalls, but I fantasize about asking him how that salary increase can be rationalized amidst layoffs and cost-cutting. It's not a rumor or speculation, its a fact and is completely justified.
He-l even on this anonymous site, this isn't something discussed all that often. Its odd to me as this is the one of the most infuriating things I've experienced in 10+ years at this company.
You are just a number. HILS, Culture and Mission Moment at every townhall or EMG meetings are design to keep you pumped on low salary and get disposed when you are not needed.

The greedy Wall Street ba----ds found a new piggy bank to raid to enrich themselves at the expense of members and employees. Running their previous firm into the ground requiring government bailouts in 2008 wasn't enough for these greedy, soulless, sh-t for brains ba----ds. In a few short tears they have undone everything that generations of dedicated and loyal employees have built to serve the people that keep America free. These billy goat di-k wrinkles couldn’t give 2 flying sh--s about the military or USAA’s mission. It’s all about them and their bank accounts. Wayne should know better, but he’s just an insecure narcissist who thinks he’s owed his giant pay raises and bonuses and couldn’t give a flying fu-k how many people he needs to displace to get what he wants. That’s why everywhere Wayne goes and everything he touches turns to sh-t.
