Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Receiving associates

Unbelievable. Receiving now has 5 full time associates for the A.M. shift and the merchandise team barely has 3 people working the A.M. shift on any given day. Are all the clubs getting this bonus full time mid or is it just because are managers are too lazy to fill in the gap period between 1st and 2nd so let's add a 7 to 3: 30 FT?

5 seems about right. Backroom used to be 6 people. 4 in the AM and 2 overnights. Freight has only increased since they got rid of 3rd shift. So it actually makes sense to have at least 5.

However, you should also have more than 3 merchandisers a day.

4 - a.m. people that come in at 4 and now 1 that comes in At 7. Not sure what their plan is since we only have enough forklifts for 2 receiving associates. Merchandisers do not get help from anyone here. As a matter of fact, they usually pull from our 3 people to help in dairy or deli or receiving . And once we are open, it's pushing carts and loading for club pickup. Meeting are in deli so we can all stock . It's ridiculous.

I’ve been wondering if every other club is as short as we are with AM merchandisers…. We have 2 “good” days a week with 4 people… the other days are 2-3…. Our reviving is down to 2 from 3 for about a year now.. they used the 3rd person for claims

Not sure where you are working but our AM backroom has only EVER had two associates. They take the 3rd one as a merchandiser.
