Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

T has no culture and no leadership

It will continue to sink until it hits rock bottom. I don't plan to be around when that happens.

“ They just replace with lesser paid contractors or younger less experienced employees.”

Funny thing, the contractors come from companies owned by current and former AT&T VPs, who “outsource” or layoff their own workers and then hire them 6 months later (for more money, AT&T pays contractors cost plus markup). If the ex-employee is a sc--w up, all the better for the VP, because they’ll add another contractor and VP gets paid even more. Some VPs own more than one contracting company and will bill that 1 employee twice, once for each company. Don’t believe me. Ask Mo Katiba! He got caught.

Worked there over 20 years as a management employee. It has been down hill for the last 15 years. Now I have been let go due to downsizing. In many ways it is a huge relief. The leaders (former and current) have made tons of colossal errors costing the AT&T billions and there have been zero consequences for them. They just cut more employees with each major fu-k up. They just replace with lesser paid contractors or younger less experienced employees. There is no culture and no real leadership.
