Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

HON is a disgrace

With the CEO & President of AERO leaving… feels like the beginning of the end. We used to complain about Cote… now we really miss him.

I am guessing there is another shoe to drop. Remember the leadership changes at UoP when the bribery scandal was finally addressed in the courts? I am guessing there was some more shady (insert word here) that was known by leadership. The mandate to "MAKE THE NUMBERS" coupled with big performance-based bonuses will make even a former mediocre performance engineer turned ineffective ISC leader turned President of Aero turn a blind eye during financial and ethical improprieties. You heard it here first.

It followed GE's model. Right INTO THE GROUND!

DC was a greedy hack!! All CEO or upper mgmt who think more about their bonus than valuing the employees have no place in running, managing a company.

It's the old troglodyte shuffle.

The new CEO has his cronies too, and those he's had to adopt from the prior CEO. It's a mess all around. Just because someone has stayed around at the company for decades does not make him a good leader. The new CEO is just that. He'd fail miserably if he interviewed for a job elsewhere today!

I spent the vast majority of my career with the company until I was canned at 61 years old. It was shameful. I still miss my colleagues although many have left the organization. I feel for those that have not. However, as pertains to the senior leadership and their toxic HR cronies, this is a day of celebration for me. You made your bed and now you can sleep in it. I wonder how long it will be before a breakup of the organization and the realization by the Board that the once great company and brand has been ruined by those that call themselves leaders. It’s shameful.

Never thought I would say this, but DC was Honeywell's last hope.

I don’t miss him. He was routinely unprofessional in meetings when I worked with him. Would raise his voice and embarrass people in front of their peers. Prototype ISC bully who encouraged and promoted the same ineffective management style across his career.
