Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Can we as employees help right this ship?

Morale and motivation company wide is at an all time low. The company is not showing any signs of wanting to better itself in the slightest. In light of the neglect of upper management is there anything we the employees can do to try and do what our leaders are unable or refuse to do? Can we ourselves save this company?

The surveys say you have plenty of engagement and motivation. You know why because you are coea4ds to speak the truth and fall in line when needed.

Claims should’ve been unionized years ago.

There is a major shareholder who is encouraging Lampert and Sears to take it over so it will have the Sears brand on it

The only move the employee can make to affect changes here is to organize. Now may be the time to attempt it since there is nothing left to loose, except jobs but they’re going offshore and to the vendors anyway. At least a Union push would send a message to shareholders and the board.

Short answer is no. A large shareholder is the only one with the power to turn this around. The only thing that will turn the company around is a new CEO.
