There are those who still have faith in this company and think they are safe because they have always been among the best performers. That's not necessarily a bad thing, one should always hope for the best, but at the same time, one must always be cautious and ready, especially since USAA doesn't really care much about logic when it comes to layoffs and the best ones are often at the top of the cut list. It is not my intention to scare anyone, this is just a friendly advice.

Can someone please tell me what HILS is? So many freaking acronyms at USAA … lose track. Is this that new USAA way bs? I don’t know if anybody else heard this, but with the people I know we have always said the USAA way in a negative manner when we do something stupid that makes no sense because we’ve always been doing it. Lol
The amount of bullsh-t they fed us to leave our jobs to come and fix the bank problems is so problematic. The core values are a complete BS front. This place makes me sick to my stomach.
Top performers sometimes means top salary which equates to huge cost savings cut! Have you noticed the amount of lower entry level IT postings lately to backfill some of these positions?
I know this was sarcasm but it speaks to how bad the current state of the company is when the CEO and senior leaders don’t follow their own core values.
Hiring people under false pretenses — hiring someone remote only to renege — violates honesty and integrity.
Laying off people in a myopic, knee jerk reaction to poor financials violates loyalty.
Providing zero worthwhile products and services to members violates service.
It should be very telling that these so-called leaders openly and intentionally break their own core values with zero regard for the company’s pretty stellar history of going above and beyond for employees and members.
But I’ve been following HILS. I’ve done everything correct and I’m still on the chopping block? I don’t understand…..
