Is there anyone who actually enjoys where they are at, their department, their management, and/or what you do? Tell us what makes you stick around (besides the need for a paycheck…all of us need that). Maybe if we knew about what jobs, management and/or department umbrellas to look into where we could thrive and get the support we need, it would encourage more of us to stay.

The director and manager in the treasury dept are a complete joke! That is a toxic a-s dept to work for. She is unprofessional, a liar, a fraud. Both of them are. How anyone can stand to work for that director is beyond me. She expects people to kiss her a-s and she sure has her minions who do so. The minute that you speak up they come for you and try to fire you. They cover up for each other and help each other out with promotions, raises etc while everyone else has to tip toe around them. It is a complete sh-t show.
I love my job personally. I feel recognized frequently, I’m surrounded by people who care about their job and team and try their best, and I couldn’t ask for a better manager. We have a couple bad apples on our team, but most of us are 12/10
Pretty sure there are more than a few directors and above like that. It is the nature of their title and the culture at HCSC the doers get no respect but do the work and know the processes. It’s theater.
HCSC Treasury and Finance division situation is toxic. Specifically, the director mentioned above. I have a close friend in that department who says the person has no real knowledge of how things work, to learn and gives vague direction and guidance to a frustrated direct reports. A lot of opinions that everything is broken but nothing to offer except vague remedies with no detail. The feeling is she is a fraud and nobody has the courage to speak up.
The work environment is toxic. Lost another person in Treasury operations on 39 cash management. Management is protecting the toxic director and VP. She lost four people in the last 6 months. Internal candidates do not want to work for her. Bad reputation all around. Comes in and closes the door. Do not see her during the day. They come up with excuses to protect her. When will the CFO Reorg them out the door? This has turned ugly and the fallout continues.
Really cr-ppy feeling working at HCSC. Hard work is not acknowledged by senior mgmt. instead your peers are left to give you kudos through Stellar. But what good is that if upper mgmt don’t acknowledge??!!!! Stretch assignments are a joke. One executive even made my stretch assignment my permanent job cause I was so good at the assignment. Great. So now I excel at doing a job that is above my pay grade but no recognition.
I was grateful for a good job. But I work hard and achieve everything that's asked of me and it's not enough. I go above and beyond and it's not acknowledged. I have fixed processes that were broken. I have coached people who were challenging and in some cases, they are now top performers. I am also saddled with some people who will not leave because they have it good and they are entitled. It is as if this place will do everything to protect the worst people and as a result drive away the really good people. I am dreading the start of the new work week instead of enjoying the weekend. That is not okay. It is up to me to change my circumstances but I sure hate that I work in a place that cultivates such negative feelings. I am tired of the constant stress and sleepless nights.
The only thing worst than management is upper management. So much corruption and they always get away with it.
Agree on internal job applications. That’s intimidating for people. If you’re not selected for the job you applied for, or if you decided the job isn’t for you, after all, you’ll be punished by your current supervisor for wanting to leave or grow your career elsewhere in HCSC. It has happened to me before. The supervisory behavior is shocking TBH.
The problem with this question is that at HCSC, departments and management teams can shift in the blink of an eye. I've been a part of a few teams that went downhill fast after the executive of the day decided they needed to fix what wasn't broken. And it's usually not a slow decline.
I do. I think HCSC should remove the requirement for internal applicants to notify their manager when they’re interviewing with another team. No employee likes it. So some or most of them end up just leaving the company.
