Question for those who have recently resigned. Was your two week notice honored? Going to a local competitor if that makes a difference.

I knew 2023 would be my last year with USAA, so I made sure to take the 10 days minimum of PTO, when I came back, i worked BAU for 2 weeks, then gave my 2 weeks notice at the end of April, my director understood, I didn’t say where I was going, just that I was leaving for a role that was 100% remote. All she asked of me, was to finish up the day, e-mail what follow up’s are needed for items I was working on, then had me stay off line until my last day. On my last day, I just sent an email to some of my oldest colleagues and thanked them for there help and guidance throughout my time.
Finishing out my last week next week transitioning responsibilities, gave my notice 7/24, last day 8/4. My team/manager/department expressed sadness, but doesn’t look like the bigger org gives 2 figs. Got an email with a link to take my exit interview. What a joke.
Thanks everyone. It wouldn’t hurt my feelings if they told me to walk. The two weeks will be brutal.
I had to worm my two weeks but I didn’t say where I was going. It really depends upon the department. I wish I would have been told to leave that day because they are required to pay you for the two weeks
You should never disclose where you are going. If you are going to a competitor, any Company will make you leave immediately if you tell them.
If you’re going to a competitor, they usually will just make it effective after the two weeks, but your last day with access will be the same day you submitted it.
Told me to leave/log off same day.
I was asked to reconsider and agreed to stay an additional three weeks to meet key commitments, I was totally gas lighted and abused.
Both of my friends was told to stop working. They basically got paid 2 weeks without having to work.
