Does provider servicing = provider advocates? Trying to figure out who’s been cut!
15 let go in Dental Provider Servicing including VP of Dental PS. A handful let go in Network Development in Speciality Benefits. 5 let go in Vision Network Development. 30+ in Telesales including managers. There's even more but the main idea is increasing production while decreasing the workforce and either replacing with cheaper labor or just loading that additional work on the remaining employees.
I was laid off today. I got a severance.
I worked in E&I on the UMR development team.

Seems basis is 1week per year of employment as severance plus base 3 weeks. Additional anyone know of RRP prorated or medical end date given lo is effective Aug 10.

We were told those who are being laid off are getting severance. I am not sure what MCNA/UHG/Optum severance is. On average it’s usually like 2 weeks a year but can be higher or lower
They are cutting it internationally, from MCNA there will be 30 people cut. Layoffs always happen in waves so I wonder when they are going to do the next one (opinion not fact that there will be a next one).

Hearing anywhere from 10-20% across the enterprise. Ours hit the morning for UHC E&I Marketing which was 20%

Heard big layoffs beginning today 7/27 thru 8/3. Seems to be higher ups as of right now.
Just heard that the MedSupp line of business cut 51 resources this AM.
Got my layoff notification this morning. I know of at least two others let go, possibly more. I think it will be announced tomorrow.
I don't feel comfortable sharing details, but significant impacts across our line of business within UHC.
Does anyone have anything specific /concrete or is this just rumors?

I want to be laid off, I hope I’m on the list. I’ve been applying for different jobs for months and nothing has turned out yet so a layoff would be a blessing.
Almost half way through the day… have not heard of any yet. Can any one provide an update??
