Honeywell to sell off repair and overhaul business

It's true. CFE, gone. HTF, gone. TPE, long gone, TFE, gone. Small 36 APU, gone, 331-500s, gone. 331-200s, gone. The only models HON still does is T55 and 131. They are working on licensing more "channel partners" for 131 work as well. Once all that is licensed out and there's no more blood to get from this stone, the sites will be sold off and everyone canned. You may think I'm joking but this has been HONs plan for decades. They've been quietly telling you to your face your days are numbered. Remember the "cutting edge software industrial" company AERO is destined to become? All that software code is going to guess where....I'll give you a hint...it starts with I and ends with A.... That's right folks! If you aren't in this one particular area that our new CEO is from...well....you better do the needful and leave before HON makes the decision for you. It's only a matter of time. The margin is higher on selling licenses and then skimming the profits on the parts, at least until the PMA market takes over then that's all gone too. Oh well, at least they will have their software LOL.
I'm already packing. I know for a fact. Having Honeywell on your resume. This isn't a good idea.
The reputation is preventing you from getting a job. The unethical employees behavior and the way they run this place. Nail in your coffin.
Trust me. I had people interviewing me you mentioned the very same things I'm talking about.
We lost business to ontic already being sold off
So will Olathe R&O team be affected? Layoffs?
@snj
If you had an honest brain and any experience with Honeywell, you'd recognize that the only way to find out anything about Honeywell's future plans would be to frequent a site like this. Many times info on this site is wrong, but it is more right than info from Honeywell which is none. Honeywell's sole purpose is to compensate executives at the cost of everyone else. Now stay in your lane otherwise we will take it away from you!
Nonsense. This thread only proves that there are ones out there bringin' about false news just so that a rumour mill starts turning. Keep it real and direct instead of creating fake news.
They make more margin on material than labor. This isn't new as the sites that went Celestica already know. Maybe they'll become more aggressive with "strategic partnering".
Key will be, for Aero, if engine repairs leave us. Already moved off some of the older models.
R&O is the cash cow of aero and the bridge to customers
If this is true, aero is done
