Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

How many hours of work a day do you actually do?

With our leaders really not caring anymore and shops having such low expectations of Allstate I honestly only work about 3 hours in a normal shift and no one says a word. Maybe 4 or 5 hours on Fridays if I am in a "motivated" mood or just want the clock to move faster. What about in your areas?

You should watch the video of TW at aspen. He says technology is in place to monitor work with keystroke counters as an example.

2 out of 10ish hours in the call center took pleasure berating my team on numbers and petty things that they would do. I love ruining people's day.

When I was under a dirtbag manager 2-3 if that, now working with a great manager (I know they are few and far between here) I do a solid 7-8. I like what I’m doing now, I like majority of my team and I enjoy watching the inept & sc-m leadership “retiring”. There’s no place to hide for those high dollar salary earners who spent decades surviving off the backs of other workers.

To the injury adjuster….they don’t trust you’ll get it eval right even with all their tools and need to micro- manage the severity. Leadership calls that quality assurance or process compliance when in facts its quality control, constraint and lacks empowerment…...if I had to guess you’re saying then what did you hire me for….Answer is to collect, input and then validate information in a pretty UI that pre-pops some information and then be the labor to reach an agreement. Double down on your negotiation skills as its where the BI adjuster skill of the future should and need to be that will reward you the most even if collection and evaluation remain essentially manual or semi manual just in a different place.

I’m in auto appraisal and I just have people email me photos or an estimate AND I have a company car which I only use for personal stuff since I never get out of my sweatpants and t-shirt.

Are the people who say they hardly work handling injury claims/repped? Cuz they ride us to settle settle settle but took away authority? If you don’t do the work things get bad. Who are all these people saying they barely work?

I certainly do less work that "Fabulous" Bob Toohey who spends 8 hours a day crying like a si--y bottom on email.

Work Flow Tool? Bahahahahahahaha!!!! Just let it run, play a quarter of Madden, and hence marking the task complete!

Work Flow Tool is so manipulative.

Looks like the years and years of nepotism and poor leadership are really starting to impact the front lines. Sad.
