Cenovus Dropped from S&P / TSX Preferred Stock Index

Another nail in the coffin for Cenovus.

Perhaps Cenovus and Suncor should merge?

@2rgk+1nNlptXJ the CFO was making such an amazing job and because of his deep understanding of capital markets, JM decided that he would be the right fit to fix IS and SCM mess?

As I stated being dropped from that index is meaningless and you couldn’t even provide your own commentary as to why. No wonder you are no longer employed at CVE.

JH now will need to get something relevant with IS and SCM, get rid of bullies and increase performance. Otherwise will will be transferred to reception :)

It tells you something if you do not meet this criteria:

The S&P/TSX Preferred Share Index is designed to serve the investment community's need for an investable benchmark representing the Canadian preferred stock market. The index is comprised of preferred stocks trading on Toronto Stock Exchange that meet criteria relating to minimum size, liquidity, issuer rating, and exchange listing. Preferred stocks are a class of securities that combine the characteristics of debt and common stocks. While their expected volatility and returns fall between those of common stocks and bonds, their yields are typically higher than that of common stock, the bond market and the money market. With low correlations to common stocks and bonds, they serve as good diversification instruments.

Lol Cenovus isn’t measured in any way by preferred stock performance. Do you even know why a preferred stock is? Maybe stop being bitter about being laid off due to incompetence and work on your ger management issues OP.

DZ- "Chief Commercial Officer" - all commercial arrangements, including strategy, bd, planning and marketing. Couldn't find anyone more ill-equipped for this role!

CFO to corporate and operations services (whatever that is) is definitely a demotion.

CMO is the consolation prize as he did not get the COO position

Demoted? Hardly. He still gets an executive title at executive pay. I will take that kind of demotion all day long. Only the clt will move people who are underperforming whereas the rest of us get fired. Can’t wait to see what our new CMO has in store for us. WTF is that? Do any of our peers have one? Nope.
