Thread regarding USAA layoffs

For those of you in Regional Offices, what is keeping you here?

Regional employee and contemplating leaving, but definitely scared to with the market. I'm 100% sure that my region has jobs since there's a lot of tech opportunity, but still nervous.

So I'd like to know your why and if you did switch companies, was it easy to find a job/which company did you end up joining?

Plano area folks can go to Chase. Charlotte people have options. Can't speak to Tampa or Colorado Springs

Inertia. It might be better if I get laid off so that I get a new job at today's pay scales. Part of my motivation problem is I might be enjoying the cringe office culture, watching all this productivity theater accomplish nothing.

Bruh, fu-k this place. It’s totally toxic and unhealthy. The second you can, get the he-l out of here before Wayne and his legion of micro managers send you straight off the side of a bridge.

OP here - 100%, have very little confidence at this point. I'm also behind from a technical perspective and so burnt out after work that the last thing I want to do is do work.

I've been here for a while, so I know I have to make movement and stop being fearful and force myself to apply and study for technical interviews.

Ge-z this place has really done a number on your self esteem, and Ive seen many similar posts here. The job market is normal if you aren't a total mo--n you should be able to find one within a few months.
