They don't care if you live or die.

trust me on this..... the less attention you draw, the better off you are. clock in, do your job, go home. associate as little as possible with any member of management.

You're just a number. Employee number that is. Nothing else. You're probably one of those people who are self motivated. And don't need praise to motivate you to keep doing your job

I feel sorry for anyone that has stayed at Sam's beyond a year or two. It's truly indentured servitude, the way they treat you and destroy your holidays. Nothing is sacred. Plus, having to deal with some of the worst "Karen and Ken" Members out there? Why on earth would anyone stay in this line of work for that long?

Because they give a sh-t about nothing but the bottom line. I wish everybody would just wake the he-l up and quit put these a--holes in their place.

I had 32 and a half years in. The only celebration I got was when we had a substitute GM since ours was sick. She gave me a cake at a special meeting just for me when I hit 30 years. Not one of our regular managers would have done that. Also when I quit they gave me a cake and a gift cart to Bob Evans. It was about them celebrating that I was leaving , it was not for me.

3 weeks before I hit the 35 year millstone I was told that there was a plaque up in the office for me I could pick up, it says alot when your club managers can't even make a presentation to recognize you for 35 years of experience. Now 2+ weeks after anniversary date and i still haven't received it. I'll be darned if I go pick it up to recognize myself!

They don't care like they use to , the morning meetings are gone that's when they would acknowledge your years with the company. We use to get full cakes in the break room every month for birthdays now nothing. Bakery team lead would always tell me they don't care about you, that made me want to do the job of 4 people instead of the 3 I'm already doing. Worked here for 25 years.
