I can’t believe Lumen can afford a Chief Diversity Officer. Disney, Netflix and other large corporations have fired their CDO. It’s one of the most glaring racist things a company can do is to virtue signal. No wonder the stock is under $2 and headed to BK. Is this a new role?

Unfortunately what the CEO said at the beginning of her last all hands meeting amounted to "are you done being r@c1st, or do you choose to remain still? (do nothing)". Our ESG score has skyrocketed in recent months.
So lumen is going to go full Bud enLighten then company upper management will just make more $$$ for a little while then tank us then start layoffs of Frontline workers then leave to their paid off homes waiting for their next gig if they want but leave others to fight and claw to just to find something to eat. These people have not conscience or care of others...FaQ

Looking at the underbelly of some of the comments that frequent this site... maybe a CDO isn't THAT bad of an investment.
Afford? Your assuming its a highly paid position at Lumen?
Fancy title for a VP grade level position. There is nothing Chief about that role at Lumen. Most in other companies report to the CEO, reporting to the CEO is key give the CDO authority to ensure HR is following along. Doesn't matter if you agree or don't agree with the need for a CDO but one thing that's for sure is that its nothing more than a show piece role at Lumen. Buried in the HR org and has no authority.
When you offer a 6048x4024 resolution picture of yourself from your corporate website, what does it say about:
the CDO?
the CEO?
the Board of Directors?
the culture the senior leadership has fostered?
or you, the employee?
Please don't let this stand. If you do, it'll catch on and all company execs will be too busy getting glamour shots to run the business.
The execs in this country are destroying it. Workers want to produce. They want to be part of a team. The execs just want to show off for their next gig. It's frightening what's happening with business leadership right now.
