Your new head of HR is going to drill “human first” into your heads, and your CEO’s, like it is THE absolute only thing that matters.

Get ready for daily mandatory training on diversity and inclusion.
Get ready for four-hour long fireside chats you’ll be required to watch about how great “human first” is.
Did you want to work on some new products or help some customers today? That’s not going to happen. You’ve got to complete a mandatory training on handling micro-aggressions that are rampant at Lumen I’m sure. There’s a test at the end and you better pass it.

And once this all starts to make the actual business even worse, the “human first” layoffs will really take off.

The only people still there are liars and Yes men! You know the ones that do what they are told to retrain power and deceive on a consistent basis? You know the ones! The ones that will capitalize on good performers to make their careers thrive and then throw those good performers under the bus? You know the ones!

It's 6048x4024 resolution. OMG! The ego that's needed to do that. Are they shooting for a part in a major motion picture? Possible the fall of a once great company? I have no doubt if offered enough money, some of them would star as themselves doing what they did to destroy the company and not think twice about it.

And I thought my company was in trouble.

This has got to stop. The executive space has lost their mind. The workers have to take back their companies. Email the board of directors under anonymous email or something.

It’s like they are ashamed to be a telecom company. No longer strive to be the best carrier and keep the largest customers. Nope, this path to the NorthStar is going to be a splash in the ocean. Experience and pride in your craft means nothing and this is our chosen career, that just like our entire country is being destroyed by ESG and it’s supporters. Like said in the other comment, they are pleasing anyone who’s stupid to invest in a company that’s lost it identity.
