Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Question

For those who have left Allstate, how long does it take to be able to roll my 401k or of their service?

You can add rollover accounts at any time. If you get fired or retire without them being in the allstate benefits system you have to add them and then they need to be in the system for 10 business days. Documented at allstate good life.com. The vehicle used is rollover central if I recall. If you have pre-tax, after tax and Roth you will need to set up one for each. Also roll the Roth out first. Benefits was helpful- believe her name was Linda. Start the setup now and don’t wait so it is ready to go when needed

I figured it's easy, but how long did it take to have the option? It's not available after two weeks... I want to put it in my IRA which has been performing way better than the 401k

Do you have some place to roll it over into? My recollection from a couple years ago was that it was pretty easy. The 401k isn't (mis)managed by Allstate. It's Vanguard or someone. But even the cash out of the pension was easy
