Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Lenox may soon start assigning days to people to come into the offcie

If Lenox is your assigned location, you may be assigned certain days to come into the office to deal with overcrowding. May the odds be in your favor.

It is all a smoke screen. If they really wanted RTO, they could turn off all the VPN RSA tokens tomorrow, and there would be no more remote working. But, of course, they are not going to do that, because the goal is cranking up the misery factor to encourage retirement sand create chaos so they can fire people, not getting everyone back working in the office. If RTO is good for the company, just turn off the VPN. Otherwise they have no leg to stand on.

Eventually this will start happening. People complain it’s hard to find a drop in desk. That’s because everyone is coming in on the same days. Mondays and Fridays are empty. So I can see assigned days happening in the future.

Just my opinion but I believe most will be in office 5 days a week by at the latest summer 2024

Metrics are being run and reviewed. Better find a way to get your time in. And 3 days means 24 hours of office time at a very minimum. Not just checking in for the morning period.

Apparently the employees in Atlanta are gullible.

Dallas did not observe the RTO rules after week one.

I guess it could catch up to all the Dallas employees, but the offices in HQ went from 98% capacity week 1 to about 60% the entire week 2.

The trend will continue if there are no repercussions.

Fired with cause=no severance. Your playing into a trap

word on the street is that they are bringing back 2180

I don't normally believe in coincidence - so add in the fact that they had a dozen Servpro trucks outside yesterday (with a mountain of old carpet in the parking lot).

Methinks after sitting empty for years someone noticed a broken pipe when they went back in to check it out.

They are making room for the cage matches at the AT&T fight club.

Agreed that Dallas appeared light this week vs last week.

The VP’s are receiving badge swipe data on their teams in Dallas. If you aren’t doing at least 3x/week, Leadership will ask you to get on board. If don’t improve, you’re on the list and you’ll be gone. Or if they are really missing on the number that goes to their Officer, they could require 5 days/week.

It won’t take long. My floor was a ghost town today.

Not sure how this works without bumping it down to 2 days.

They can assign all they want. 3 into 5 doesn't go.

There will be plenty of space once they cycle through all the layoffs. Give it another 90 days, overcrowded will be cared for.

They can’t roll out RTO without it being a big cluster F. What makes them remotely think they can assign days and not sc--w that up?

Fake news. A lot of people just got surplussed.
AND - they are (re) leasing another building at the campus.
