Thread regarding USAA layoffs

Who would volunteer to be laid off?

I wouldn't be surprised if there were more of those who would rather volunteer to be laid off than those who would like to keep their jobs here.

However, I do not believe that we will have this as an option because the company would be left without everyone who actually does the job here.

I guarantee you, a lot of back office bank employees would take their 1 year severance package and not look back.

I’m a bank employee, I asked back in April to be laid off, my director asked HR and they said no. I’ll gladly take my 1 year severance and use the 60 days to still get paid while getting certifications to use elsewhere. USAA is a dumpster fire, and it’s going to get a lot worse before it gets remotely better.
