Sitting here waiting for TW to say something about all the layoff's they are doing around the company. All these lil jokes are making me annoyed.

@3hcn+1nHysRZq apparently, someone started a religious discussion about Noah and the rainbow that some people found offensive.
WNS and Concentrix are the two main suppliers that Allstate is rolling onshore employees to. Instead of laying off employees with severance they lift and shift employees from Allstate's payroll to becoming employees of the supplier/vendo. You still do a similar role for Allstate but you are now and employee of the supplier and not Allstate. You can decline this change but it is considered a voluntary term with no severance and risking your chance at state unemployment since you are declining an offer of work. In some cases once you are an employee of WNS or Concentrix they reassess your skillet and may move you to another field and role doing work of another company that may be totally unrelated to insurance. Like 75% of supplier employees are in other countries and are paid far less than the transferred in onshore employees. This has already taken place in CCC, agency service, and part of India roles and coming to claims later in the year
I admit Ive never heard the term Concentrix or WNS referenced ever in my work area.
Can somone kindly explain what this refers to, and is it a real end run to avoid paying severance w/ RIFs when quarterly losses roll in?
Is there any remedy available to prevent this nonsense if any truth to it? Would the media and or unions help?
Im genuinely asking because I cannot separate BS from fact here, but the recent (lack of) peformance of the company does have me concerned; and those implications if true sound incredibly underhanded. TY.
What was posted in the chat that was so objectionable?
@isi,
Got your reminder. But you don't seem very friendly.
Well they screwed all of ASIC out of severance earlier this spring. The entire department. Not one person got severance. They rebadged half of the employees and leaders to WNS out of Allstate and they were made employees of the vendor WNS doing work for Allstate and some were transferred to bank rolls for other clients. The other half were moved to Allstate Benefits where they were met with unrealistic metrics and many already released for performance. The Star that Does Not Shine really sold us up the river on that one.
This is the type of nonsense that most onshore roles have coming in their future. Severance you say! BAHAAHAHAHAHA!!!
I keep hearing this talk about not paying severance and its good points! I've been here too long to jump ship. With all the layoff rumors, I'm waiting around to see if my position will be one of the "lucky" ones to get the axe!
My lunch time is currently 12-3, like TW.
To the ahole who said we should be working. I can do whatever I want on my scheduled lunch. Thanks though.
Yep - Wilson defintely made Allstate what it is today : A Sh#tshow !!
I couldn’t stay on. Had to go to my scheduled lunch because you know, adherence, and wasn’t wasting my lunch watching a meeting. Let me know if I missed anything.
No more severance....you will be moved to vendor employees instead. Very few are going to get severance anymore as we know it. Those days are long gone. Severance is a cost, we can't have that. If there is not a place doing Allstate work at the vendor for you then you will be moved to another industry role within the vendor.
I have already heard of Allstate employees moved to the vendor being moved to banking and collections functions for other companies.
The way the company is trying to save money, I doubt they'd have us go back into the office.
Really at this point, just please lay me off so I can get a severance package.
I guess we are going back to the office. Except its now called pods. So are they going to feed us bugs or soylent green for lunch?
Hence Marking the Task Complete.
The New World Order is now upon us.
This post is total sarcasm.
