Was told via my leadership last week that within a certain Org, 3% of the people will get a raise on 1/1/24 and that they intend to cycle through every 6 months with 3% more each time. At that pace, it will take 12.5 years to go through everyone in the organization. Pretty sure I'll be dead before I ever get a raise at Oracle...

Every group is different.

10 years at Oracle and received a raise 8 times and 2 promotions.

I led a team and gave raises to 70% or so every year.

If you are not getting a raise, it’s you, as the Swifties say.

One time I got a raise and a promotion but it was only on my base and not the total I made. they were cutting travel time so I would actually be making less. I told the HR girl I got promoted and will actually be making less money. She said and I quote, "you should just be happy you got the promotion..." I went down to the store with that news and tried to buy food and they told me to go pound sand. Oracle and raises just don't happen. My last company gave me 3% after one year. We also had quarterly bonuses.

A team player? At Oracle?

I guess that it is possible, but it is like a dog walking on its hind legs. It is not done well; but you are surprised to find it done at all!

No Raises

Everyone else got one. You did not due to the fact that you aren't a team player.

Last raise I got was 2008. Never got RSU’s

With RSU’s they can always let you go before they are yours. Good luck with that?

Oracle uses RSU's for "raises." Since they can magically generate stock shares out of thin air, RSU's have little effect on the books.

It’s the Oracle way. Somehow people still go to work there. It’s well known that you need to get as much $ in your initial offer bc you may never get another raise.

Unless you end up at Oracle from an acquisition. Then you’re doubly screwed. No respect, no money, no career movement.

I worked at Oracle for over 7 years. Got great reviews every year. Got more responsibility every year. Got more BS from the clueless leadership every day. Got a 5% raise one time. Got the fugg out of that place and you all should to.

Silent quitting.... good luck getting someone up to speed to replace me but I guess we're all plug and play now.

Where have you been hiding? Under a rock? I don't know many if any groups that get raises at Oracle. It is widely known as a whole Oracle does not give raises. Even promotions and job transfers are lateral. This is not news!
