Inconsistently Meets with a vague write up

got inconsistently meets with a vague write up. issue is that manager who wrote the feedback quit before delivering the discussion or entering then into system. my 2-up pasted in managers comments and chose the rating. 2-up provided no written feedback in mid year other than what was copy/pasted from manager who left.

strange because I got raise and bonus in 2022 year end.

What to do here?

My manager copied and pasted someone else's performance review from last year to my review this year. I am not kidding. When I questioned, he said something happened to the system and he could not fix it. He doesn't seem to care.

I heard some mass layoff or termination is on cards for tech using performance below inconsistently meets. Anyone aware please comment

Here is the real kicker. The same scale exists for year end right? So you will really have to kick a-s to move up to a meets. And someone else will have to move down. Ridiculous process.

Same exact thing happened to me. My supposed manager who wrote it was only my manager for a few weeks! He quit when he knew the group was not going to meet the OKRs Has no idea what I did the past 6 months. Unrealistic OKRs not met? Gets you an inconsistently meets if you stay and don’t quit.
This review system is totally not a good and let’s blame of poorly set goals and OKRs fall on employees.

It's all percentages. The push is to get 5-15-60-15-5 roughly. If you get inconsistently meets, then you're in the bottom 20% vs your peers. Let that sink in. Most of the company will be Meets or above.

we've been hearing on this board that the "push" is to rate inconsistently meets" as mandated from above. I know its a slap in the face. If I receive IM rating--I'm going to really make my mgr explain the reasoning...and provide an action plan to get up to “standards”.
WF scks..... it never used to be such a sht place to work.

Maybe year end will be better? That's about all you can do. Filing HR complaint won't do anything, you'll just be in a long line that goes nowhere.

The only silver lining is that you didn't bust your a$$ for a whole year just to find out you'll get an IM rating.

Sorry, OP. The new Wells Fargo su-ks.

Recommend bringing in dead fish and leaving it in random cubicles hidden away from view and not in an area where you or I sit. Solves nothing but feels like you're getting back at the machine for hosing ya. your welcome

Call HR and open a case. Not because they will do anything to change it but for you to have a documentation trail of disputing it and the shoddy way it was determined and presented to you.

Reviews are now a 'numbers game' with forced distribution across ratings. Wells Fargo is a total shitshow and I would not put too much into the review. The 2-up will probably be gone before your next review.
