Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

This is a depressing toxic company

This company's managers are very talented.
They are lazer focussed on cutting and chopping.

The plans for the year ahead like every year are how you as employees can help further make the cuts. Your pay, your career, and everything around is about cuts.

Every meeting you will attend will contain a focus on not spending and driving down costs.

No travel, no overtime, no pay, no benefits, no nothing. Paperwork on top of paperwork to justify a costs, to stop you doing any work which costs.

What a great place to work with a dark future and no prospects. You will look forward to working here not!

Milking overtime has been a standard practice for a long time by selected few geography and demography. Good to see finally they are closing this loophole.

We still haven't had any email, maybe it's just some, as usual no consistency.

Can someone put up the details of the email they got here please.

If you cant do stuff out of hours how is the company going to generate extra revenue from customers? This is just going to slow down delivery and lose more customers.

The id--t manager who has come up with this idea needs a talking to.

Good to see it was known here first before the announcement.

Sounds like your manager is a Yes man, we haven't been stopped on any overtime and I'm charging daily overtime for checks, I also asked Networks and they haven't heard anything.

Our managers stand up to the managers above, don't just nod and agree everything if it's stupid screwing thier staff.

Apparently there's an communication about Europe wide overtime ban sent out.

Seems like it was alluded to on this thread before it was known about.

People won't be paid if they work OT, people will stop doing work out of hours so customers will start leaving longer term.

Just the wrong management, they can't run a company.

You heard it here first see comments below about managers, cuts, and mountains of paperwork to do anything.

If you you weren't convinced so far all this Growth year talk by Mike is just the usual bull he uses to convince people, we are always in the cut phase, the people aren't capable of growth.

Listen out there some interesting news coming out......

Definitely a place not to look forward to working at.

There just isn't any incentive offered, the same cuts message from every meeting and every manager.

I don't understand why the lower managers don't report up the chain that the employees are fed up and no longer buying thier next year, next year stories anymore.

We are being setup to fail, so that the contracts can finally be sold off in one last fire sale. The clients seem to know it and are pulling back on new projects. The management hope we'll get bored and quit. I already have. Just that I didn't click the button. And that's why the company has gone down the pan.

Totally agree - "Paperwork on top of paperwork to justify a costs, to stop you doing any work which costs." Or any work that adds any value!!

Who's the fool - us or the clients that happily pay for this documentation on documentation that nobody reads which consumes the entire project budget before anything is actually done.

@jik+1nFySM5m what a load of rubbish, this company does not pay market rates, it under pays, it does not give annual merit raises.

You must be on some dr-gs or another planet.

If they paid market rate the employee morale wouldn't be rock bottom.

Please work on the goals for FY24. People were given rises as per market / Industry trends. We are there and let's help the company March ahead.

Confirm what's been said here, been in a meeting and the manager as usual brushed off knowledge about the pay. Kept saying his honest but was far from honest.

Even gave the same bull as the higher up manager that giving everyone a rise will cost $Xmillion. No sh-t sherlock, how is everybody suppose to survive?

This will be the case every year, so will you never give rises ever?

How do every other company manage to give rises?

You have been passing on extra charges to companies as extra inflationary contract costs but not giving them to employees.

All the money is being siphoned off at the top level, disgusting.

You dread going to a meeting, when asked the managers know nothing on what is happening to annual merit pay increases or they won't talk about it. Yet they will know lots of other rubbish and more demands for cuts and how to do things cheap.

There is nothing left to cut, your ki-ling this Company, pay people fairly and go for growth, the Company will move ahead with positive growth.
