If any of the credit analyst leave, management has to hire from Costa Rica. The positions are only open to them. Give it a few years and appreciate the credit analyst you have now because they aren't going to be around. Sysco plans on hiring 300 employees in Costa Rica by 2028. The customers are going to love it.
Most employees are in denial or have it can’t to me and my department mentality. Just sit back and watch what happens for yourself.
Good day!
The a--holes at GSC houston figured that many positions can be moved to Costa Rica for way cheaper price than paying in American Dollars. In a way is like outsourcing the job but keeping the secrets within the company, rather than outsourcing to a different foreign company that will charge higher fee than a flat rate from a country that doesn't pay per hour.
Most single expats in Costa Rica can live comfortably on USD$1,500 to $2,000 per month. A family of four may be able to live comfortably on USD$3,000 to $3500
Now, imagine that they would be making way less than $1,500 usd a month.
I’m not clear. The article makes it sound like they are building out corporate functions in Costa Rica rather than Houston. Is this what is happening? I also heard that they closed down the Canadian office and moved those jobs to Houston. Can anyone confirm or deny?
This is true, departments in Costa Rica are hiring staff.
Can confirm. One team already hired three employees in Costa Rica during their hiring freeze
