What type of job was it? Did you get the offer before the merge? If so, was the job at "Viasat" or "Inmarsat"?

Viasat2 satellite had a problem and now Viasat3 satellite has a problem.
Go work for one of the many tech companies where your 401k is actually growing significantly, unlike this one where you get to watch your retirement shrink.

Recruiter setup a 45min interview call with me. I spent whole day preparing for it. (Imagine the tense 24 hours etc). She finished call in 45 secs by telling me that they have finalized a candidate. Who sets up 45min interview call to inform this to a candidate? Unethical and cruel.

That's awful that they did that to you. Management must have known that there was trouble with VS-3 months ago. They should have at least paused the hiring process to prevent withdrawing offers like yours.
I speculate that the stockholders are going to demand change at the top after these rough fiscal quarters. Executive must be very concerned. Hopefully they have golden parachutes!
