Thread regarding USAA layoffs

Make your voice heard on Glassdoor if you haven’t done so already

If you haven’t written a review on Glassdoor, now is the time to do it.

Layoffs, benefit cuts, bait and switch tactics, toxic leadership looking to line their pockets then jump ship — you name it. Potential employees and members alike deserve to know what’s going on and sites like this are not as mainstream as Glassdoor.

In all likelihood, it won’t make a difference, but what I do know is that Wayne exhibits textbook traits of narcissism. Watching his approval rating and the company’s external approval rating plummet will get under his skin.

He’s made our lives miserable as employees and has used his power to make myopic decisions that have annihilated a century of culture building. We may not be able to fire him or force him out, but we can embarrass him and shame him publicly. He’s already at a 50% approval rating. How low can we get it?

A few pro tips when writing your review — make sure you do these or your review won’t be accepted.

  • Don’t name names in your review. Better to avoid referring to specific titles as well (CEO, CHRO, etc.) and instead refer to “senior leaders” or “executives” more broadly
  • Don’t refer to specific insider company info (meaning don’t cite bonus percentages, internal survey results, etc.)
  • Remain factual and avoid hyperbole
  • Don’t use profanity
  • Fu----g send it

I think the language on posts is due to the absolutely dire situation USAA is in.

Too many (myself included) sat still as the peacock band played on. We were regularly watering at the kool-aid stands and taking in the lies of the court jesters.

I wish I came to this site sooner, and I don't discredit those sounding the alarms loudly and yes, at times, with strong language.

USAA does not give a crock about destroying a person's career and along with it, their families.

I proudly say...

F**K the peacock and the court jesters!

I don't like to (and can't) police anyone's speech on here, but I've been suspicious lately of some of the vulgarity in different posts and comments - is it a false flag for shock value, so that all of the more valid content on here will be grouped into the same category and dismissed?

I did mentioned on glassdoor about the false claim on the career website "Great Place to work for" https://www.usaajobs.com/

I think is great advice! As long as it’s an honest and accurate review, you’re helping a lot of people.

I used Glassdoor like crazy while job searching. It’s my favorite, much more so than Indeed.
