I know USAA has many kool-aid drinkers, many who believe the company can do no bad because we “know what it means to serve.” I left in May for WaFd Bank, same job function (credit cards) higher salary and fully remote! Yes folks, if you want a fully remote job, they are out there! It just takes courage to start looking, and even if the posting doesn’t mention remote, always ask if it’s a possibility. First thing the recruiter said “I see you’re not local and in Texas, if offered the position, a relocation package is possible or being remote.” I know USAA has made most believe that they won’t find anything in this job market, that is a lie! I wanted to retire with USAA, but the last 2 years made me realize, that wasn’t going to happen. Wayne & Paul are going to keep talking up the bank, when in reality, Wayne has increased the speed of the ship and that ice berg is very near, and Paul Vincent, he’ll do his best Murdoch and try to avoid it. It’s weird, how we all see it, but the executives don’t, or just don’t care because they’ll get there golden parachute regardless.
