Petition for Elon Musk to buy AT&T, in $50 Billion

One of the primary reasons AT&T is in the quagmire for the past 20 years, is because management and executive leadership's being so inbred. They only promoted from within, and never went outside the company for talent

Yeah, let's get Elon, because we can all see his wizardry in action over at twitters.

Sigh.

Elon is perhaps the only CEO that can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Stink on the "Worst of All Time" platform, and some dipspit want's him to take over T.

I retired from T five years ago. I dumped my financial advisor the same day. He told me NOT to take a lump sum distribution.
T was like the rock of gibraltar and a monthly payout could not be achieved by investing the lump sum.
I wonder what happens to pensions and payouts when Stankey goes into bankruptcy.

You can train anyone to work at AT&T. There is nothing special about what anyone does, seriously. George Washington didn't have a degree and he was the president of the United States. In fact, I have met more id--ts with about 5 degrees and had no interest because they already knew everything.

“Yep, the Good Ole Boys club is now the demise of AT&T! Cronyism, nepotism, families all working for T is definitely the downfall of T. My 2nd level didn't even have a college degree. How do you get to the 2nd level over seeing lots of personnel with no degree? Simple answer, he comes from a long line of former AT&T employees in his family!”

As far as the lower management level goes, a degree is meaningless when one holds the relevant knowledge, experience and operates well in their sphere. Being a C average college cheater wasn’t always required for 2nd line. Forcing fast track cr-p flunkies on organizations and expecting them to suddenly be competent (passing on qualified people) because they check the college, woman or color box is a tragedy lived countless times now. They came, started fires, blew everything up and left just as fast as they arrived.

Dude, I like Elon, but he'll lay off 99% of management staff in his first week. Not sure anyone should wish for that.

Nobody would loan him money for this.
You can only tap some wells 3X before the charm is gone.
He's done that enough already.
The muk.

50 billion for a company that is 120 billion in debt. Not happening.

Elon would recognize the need to drastically trim the employee base of dead weight!

Musk would fire everyone and then scream Woke to anyone who does not agree with him

T can’t handle Musk. It would be worse than Twitter with the crying.

Yep. Many people’s entire families have worked here for decades. Everyone always talks about equity/equality. The real issue is nepotism and cronyism. So many people at AT&T literally couldn’t get hired anywhere else, but for some reason the end up in leadership positions here. It is extremely hard for anyone hired from the outside to compete against the bias that occurs when you are up against friends, family, and relatives for a promotion. It is just the sad truth!
