I often wonder why Oracle has so many archaic practices!? It's a shame, the leadership doesn't seem to realize how stuck in the past O is in some things.

Customer loyalty comes with healthy internal employee relationships.
Not true, or the key accounts team would have never been let go.
They are not archaic...the term is "time-tested" :-D
SC wants stronger customer relationships. We will see if she gets it.
If so maybe Oracle will figure out that mid level mgmt needs to go
Customer loyalty comes with healthy internal employee relationships. first.
Oracle mid mgmt hates employees and customers. So, there lies the problem.
“ It makes 75% of the company simply not care enough. “
There are several solutions to that concern, the most likely being the subject of this board.
Like that home-grown source code control system with an Oracle database behind it (because when all you have is a hammer...)
So true, like "Hey, I just heard about this new tech standard called LDAP that's gaining industry traction. Let's put an LDAP interface on our DB and offer it as a new product. Customers will have to pay for DB licenses too!"
and of course,, mid mgmt hides behind Oracle's billions to lie, steal and cheat employees thinking they are above the law. At least one will find out that he is not above the law. Oracle might still be used but sadly the present mid mgmt is self destructing the company, LE is not going to last forever and AI is smoking hot ,,,, it is a new day.
The past will not help.
Like that home-grown source code control system with an Oracle database behind it (because when all you have is a hammer...) rather than git that the entire rest of the industry uses. Tip: if you want to have an easier time finding a job after Oracle, go learn how to use git and github-like services.
They run the place like Ballmer ran Microsoft and he almost ran into the ground. The stacked ranking is beyond d-mb. It makes 75% of the company simply not care enough.
