Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

HUB differences

Why is ATS allowed 4 hubs long term and 7/9 in the interim when business only gets Dallas and Atlanta?
People in Seattle are being surplused and leaders like Andrew Cohen in Leggs org are hiring GMs with no directs in non hub cities plus hundreds of offshore workers.

They have specific skill sets that are not easily replaceable. These are the people who actual fix things. That’s why…

Is that why Cohen and his peers are hiring 100’s of offshore resources to replace them.

“ the resources in ATS are some of the most knowledgeable and hard to replace resources. ”.

They can be replaced with a trained monkey. ATS is so incompetent.

Get over it, the resources in ATS are some of the most knowledgeable and hard to replace resources. There are also other coe (centers of excellence) beyond those to cover core network and CSO. This su-ks for everyone but some being allowed to remain where they are is in support of the company not the good old boy network. Just take a look at what it takes to find top cyber security professionals.

The brilliance of the T leadership is so advanced, it just seems like they are incompetent.

The T executives are like a quantum computer, running billions of calculations per second, where as we mere mortal employees are like the old Univac, needing a change of tape. They're like warp engine, bending space and time so they can move between stars in minutes, while we're still trying to use a stick to navigate a log down a river. They're the Ubermensch of Nietzchian fantasy while we're little more than ambulatory protoplasm.

Thank your overlords, you swine. They are in every way your superiors.

Right?

What happened to Andrew Cohen’s marvelous gaming products that was going to bring millions of $s of revenue? He was hired by Legg to lead that effort.

The Executive 5 year plan only has four hubs. Dallas, Atlanta. New Jersey and Seattle. The other location are just temporary hubs that will close as leases expire.

AT&T leaders lack a cohesive and coherent strategy. It's all in chaos. I hope you have skills to leave or are retirement ready, The Stinky Titanic is sinking FJS and FJB

AT&T is no different than any other large companies or governments around the world, they all have nepotism (aka..good ‘ole boys) regardless of country, race or gender. It’s just a fact of life and a common trait, It will never change, you are wasting your time and energy on this subject.

Needs of the business is a different subject, it can be addressed objectively with reason.

You must be new here. It has always been about the good 'ole boys taking care of each other. Nothing new, just manipulation to take care of their cohorts.

Maybe because the nature of the work is different and because the leaders of those orgs reached different conclusions as to how best to meet their commitments?

We're not really going to get into the "not enough chewing gum for everybody" mode here, are we?
