Anyone else have the pleasure of sitting through the scripted, mechanical severance notification lately? US HR has got to be the worst in the industry. US Bank has misled thousands of people just to get to their end goal of getting deposits converted. They said they wanted the talent . They only wanted the talent because they didn’t have the talent to pull this off.

USB is too lazy or incompetent to top grade talent. They pulled a big bait and switch on UB. We should have regulators hit our HR dept hard. They have screwed UB folks just like they keep screwing us.
Thankful for the Union Bank Severance plan which is nearly double the US Bank plan. Layoffs were always coming, just like any corp buyout. Surprised it took so long.
What US Bank has never understood is that employees are customers too. A bad experience is shared with at least 3 people (maybe more) but a good experience is shared with only 1. As an employee I was planing to get a mortgage through US Bank but not anymore. Closing my checking and savings accounts as well.
All former Union Bank employees (except teller or branch emp) were notified that Sept will be their last days unless they find a job at USB.
Talent isn't a first consideration with US Bank when it comes to hiring. It's who do you know. US Bank has hired friends to there positions. I'm in HR and can tell you that I have seen several internal candidates that were very qualified passed up for hiring managers friends or bosses friends outside the bank mostly. It's awful. I'm going to quit based on unethical practices at US Bank.
