If even the media calls this "a layoff wolf in return-to-office sheep’s clothing" then I think we can all agree that this is exactly it. At least it's good to see that Stankey is being called out by somebody else other than employees on his cr-p for a change. Did he really think nobody would see this for what it is?

Just read the article in the NY Post, interestingly the majority of the comments are in favor of RTO - most consider T be employees to be simply lazy and whiners. So for those of you seeking to garner public support, not happening.
Yes, it was an anonymous employee who coined the phrase regarding the layoff wolf in RTO sheep clothing. But... it's sticking. That quote has been repeated over and over in these national publications. People will not remember that it originally came from an AT&T employee. They will just remember that it describes what many of us saw from the beginning.
This will hurt AT&T's brand when it comes to attracting new employees. Who in the world would want to come to work for this company? And the debacle about how this is being rolled out. A month has gone by, and at least in my group, we still have no information beyond the initial communications, and a few updates about added COEs. Apparently, more are being added every day. I sense that this grand plan is unraveling to some extent, and the publicity cannot be helping. Next week will be interesting... hopefully, we will know more than just rumors, speculation, and the promise of further delays.
You're a prime candidate for being booted. Reading and Comprehension are obviously not your best skills. The quote you reference was attributed to an Anonymous employee vs the media. #FakeNews
This opens the company up to a lot of potential litigation. Juries to not like lying executives.
OP, apparently you did not read the article. Another inaccurate post on the layoff site, surprising. I can only imagine what JS thinks of his employees when he reads some of these posts.
The media didn't call it anything doofus. That quote is AT&T employee sourced (anonymous of course) and it says so in the Bloomberg report among others. Not new new's anyway, but thanks for sharing captain obvious.
