It does take a certain amount of work to process all the layoffs, which may be one reason it happens in consistent waves of several hundred people monthly.

Also note that C-guys want to keep all the forced attrition out of the news, as it does not look so good to the public and shareholders.

I know I'd question why my bank keeps laying people off, but then again, I wouldn't bank with WF.

Look at the jobs site. All jobs in India and Philippines right now. A WF recruiter called me asking if I needed help finding another job. Yes I said. Find me a job that I can apply to. I am not
Moving to India. That was 3 weeks ago. I sent my resume and have not heard a word from her since

Exactly right. There are rarely "mass layoffs", because the displacement team can't handle that many at a time without breaking some kind of law or policy. They layoff between 500-750 a month. Maybe a bit higher but not much. This will continue until Hudson Yards and India are pretty much all that's left.

Food for thought. Work hard, 14 hour days, miss family time, work weekends, get yelled at, work in toxic environment AND get laid off anyway.

Why bust your Bu-t for Wells. There is no 1 Wells or 1 Tech.

there will be layoffs every month and there have been every month for the past two + years. they are pretty much the same size every month because every displacement has to go through a process with a finite amount of capacity (humans). if a layoff seems "big" it's just big locally. if you're not seeing it, somewhere else someone in the company is.

Next “big” layoff is in August from what I am hearing from our Business heads.

Thank you for this information. I know WF sees this site. It honestly has the opposite effect on me. I've seen people bust their a-s, do 5 days RTO, 8+ hours and still get laid off. So i'm rubber stamping everything because the alternative will get you the same result.

If I actually had a team in my location w/ meaningful work to do, I'd be in office. I'm not leaving for 0 and the fact that there no one around me I actually work with means it's a joke I have to commute to sit in a office and call out to other locations.

There is no way to know if you are getting axed but rest assured that it will happen. I would just prepare by printing and saving everything you want as they cut off your access immediately

Scheduled layoffs are 60 days before the close of a payroll period. Each payroll period closes on COB of the Friday before your pay day. So for example June 16th is the close of the payroll period for the June 23 paycheck. Since they count the day of notification as one of the 60 days, the number to use for math below is 59.

Go on google and type "59 days before june 16 2023" and the answer is April 18, 2023. Or alternately, we saw the other big layoff in May was May 16th. 59 days after May 16 is Friday, July 14th, the Friday that corresponds with the July 21 pay period.

Thus lets look at the 2nd paychecks of the upcoming months:
Aug 18th (for period ending Aug 11) - 59 days = Tue, June 20
Sep 15th (for period ending Sep 8) - 59 days = Tue, July 11
Oct 27th (for period ending Oct 20) - 59 days = Tue, Aug 22

So the most likely upcoming notification days are all Tuesdays, and are Jun 20, Jul 11, and Aug 22.

As for your question about how to get details, only the absolute top senior managers of Wells Fargo know what the plans are. There is no way for any employees to know information such as if any given month will have layoffs, how many are in the group, or anything really. That's the whole point though.

Management doesn't want anyone to know further details since the fear of layoff is a tool to get people to quit voluntarily ($0 severance) or work twice as hard in the false hope of not being laid off.
