I think the main take-aways from most of the threads I have read is--
-
USAA is in a state of turmoil and no "promises" are valid any longer
-
Employees are in shock, anger, fear, etc.
-
Employees feel unequipped to go into the job market due to not having current experience and/or not having been in the market for some time.
-
USAA has had the head start in their plans (of course) and are executing those plans in such a way that the company is no longer recognizable.
I think that it is important to accept the changes and make your own plans. The sooner an employee is out of shock and anger, the sooner that person can best move forward.
Come here to be constructive; share honestly; glean helpful information; focus on yourself and your families/friends who depend on you.
Sharing your experience is important information sharing. But stay in the zone of "how can I give and get more information to help myself and others?"
Above all else, don't get bogged down! Stay in the positive zone.
