Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

The best thing about Intel

I retired from Intel this year. You know what the best thing about Intel is? It's telling people you don't work there anymore.

Congrats, but are you saying you held onto some Intel stock? If so, why?

@dug+1n8DvhNe, I didn't "lose" my job, I volunteered because Intel quite literally paid me $250K to leave. Maybe I should've left a long time ago, but now was definitely the right time. Thanks to Intel, I left with over $2M in my 401(k), $500K in INTC RSUs, a paid-off house and vehicles, and a substantial brokerage account. Now, I've got another $170K in cash (after taxes) to do whatever I want. Intel's new direction has made it clear that Intel isn't where I want to be. They have also made it clear that they have no loyalty to me and I shouldn't have any loyalty to them.

If you still work at Intel, all I have to say is "See ya, see ya, wouldn't wanna be ya."

If you still own INTC stock and think it's a good investment, good luck to you. I have diversified 75% of my RSUs over the past 4 weeks. I'm keeping 5K shares for now just to see if they go anywhere.

@bay+1n8DvhNe: just remember that Cali feeds you each day. Keep yapping and chewing food paid by Cali.

Just like California and Oregon. The best thing about them is seeing them in your rearview mirror.

It's no coincidence that Intel's management predominantly resides in those two fe--s-hole states.

OP was probably forced to retire since he was useless. Whenever he says others are useless and not working, he was referring to himself. That is what the folks on the right do. What they accuse others of doing, they are referring to themselves.

What a d-mb post. You say the best thing is telling people you left Intel? Using that stupid logic, why didn't you leave earlier?

This sounds like you are just trying to comfort yourself for having lost your job. A job that was probably paying you more then you were worth.
