Engineering got wrecked today. Ki-ling the "cash cow"?

Many people I know in engineering orgs got laid off today. Steelhead was supposed to be the stable cash cow. Did Alluvio get hit yet?

The Aternity PM was a true believer who wanted it to be a great product on its own without getting held back by the rest of Effluvio. He was outshining the wrong people and didn’t play politics enough. Watch: the new PM will be all about “being a team player” at the cost of important new features that make Aternity-only customers happy. Aternity is being sacrificed to put more lipstick on the IQ pig, mark my words.

The pathetic moderator that deletes my posts even though I’m just stating what everyone already knows can suck it.

If you ask me, the pattern of who got let go looks less like any kind of company strategy and more like empire building and score settling. The people at the top of eng are just looking out for their cronies, and why not? They can’t innovate for sh-t, so why not grab cash for you and your buddies before the whole place goes ti-s-up?

That the head PM for Aternity (JH) got whacked is a bit depressing. Not a good sign for the company. He is effin good. Id--ts laid off someone they would have no chance at all of hiring.

The head of PM for Aternity got whacked, which is really surprising because that product was supposedly ki-ling it.
