If you are a DEI, you will definitely get a pay raise and even a grade promotion when you switch jobs. If not, you will get nothing.

Laterals are typically at the same pay. If there is a significant change in the role and the pay range, then it would be possible. Having done several laterals over decades, there was never an increase nor decrease in pay. There was an increase for a move with a promo.

It’s rare but it has happened. I once got a 20% raise, but the transfer also involved moving to a new role with “AI” in the title. This was a few years ago, so take it with a grain of salt. You’ll get a much bigger raise leaving the company, regardless.

Since they reduced your salary once, they may get tempted to reduce more

Leave the company to get any significant pay raise. It’s like that for all of tech. Even at Intel there are new hires getting paid more than people who have been here for many years.

I once knew a m0r0n who thought he'd get 3 more weeks of vacation if he switched internally.

With questions like these, you have to wonder about the intelligence of the workers... or posters at the very least...

Nope, there will be no raise. Every move within Intel is referred to as a "lateral move"
