If you are a U.S. based employee can you apply for the global job listings like Ireland or India?

You can apply for positions outside the US, but look carefully at the requirements. Some say you “must already be able to legally reside and work in the country.” In other words, no work visa sponsorship. Expat roles are clearly posted as expat roles.
This company outsources to India because wages are much lower there - by more than half of what U.S. employees make. It's about money, not geography.
The real question is , can you just secretly work there on an American salary remotely? Or is united super strict and doesn't allow employees to take laptops to foreign countries?
Ireland, no. You would never get the Work Visa from Ireland. It is almost impossible. India? The pay scale is not even half.
