Thread regarding USAA layoffs

Tanking Pulse

USAA has hit a new low and the retribution policy is little more than lip service. More lies from Wayne’s crack pot failed big bank wanna-be executives. My team was warned today by our manager who delivered the message on behalf of our director that if our Pulse surveys don’t improve that means our team is not “adding value” and they will redistribute our work to another area.

Here’s the translation, “stop using pulse to air legitimate concerns that illustrates our incompetence. If it happens again, your role will be ‘eliminated’”

Sounds like both retribution and a threat. But this is the new USAA so we must either comply or face elimination.

Personally, I will continue to tell the truth.

I’ve asked the ER rep about this before. Managers can’t record employees without their knowledge. However, employees can absolutely record convos with managers without their knowledge or consent. Happens all the time. Again, this is for Texas employees only. Don’t know what the rules are in other states.

Oh I will absolutely continue to tank Pulse. Like someone else said, if Pulse feedback got people fired, I'd be gone years ago.

OP - sounds like you've got fresh new content for your next Pulse survey. Get it. 💪

Make sure you understand all caveats to the Texas Workplace Video and Recording policies. Most businesses have policies in place prohibiting this action. I would consult a lawyer prior to doing anything you are not 100% sure of.

Sounds like classic retaliation. You all need to get that in writing, or record your manager (legal in Texas) saying that. Then file an EEOC complaint. They’re playing hardball with you, so you better play back.

If it were possible to be fired for negative responses in Pulse, I would have been let go a long time ago.

Don't fill it out. Never fill out a survey - it does nothing to improve things.

I enjoyed every minute of filing out my pulse survey yesterday. Doubt they will actually address the info.
