Thread regarding USAA layoffs

Job-search process

I've been noticing a reoccurring team among a good number of job openings I've been reading. The job description is very generic and vague. When you think about it, they could tell you anything and everything is your job once you sign. I've been avoiding those like the plague, but they are growing in number. Am I overthinking it for staying away from postings like that? Is that the new way? I've last applied for a job over a decade ago, so things could have changed since then.

I have gotten three messages in the last 10 days from companies saying the jobs they were interviewing me for were on hold.

The job market especially in AML is cr-p in San Antonio. If your here and get cut be prepared to move or take a $20-25/hr job

If these openings are either through a corporate recruiter or an agency you know, I would trust that the listing reflects several opportunities. They cast a broad net to see who responds.

One thing is to be clear in your resume as to how you have gotten your experience. I tell them I got it through these projects (listed) or through classes I am taking (such as Python, which is in big demand).

Right now, one objective of any job hunter is to see what is out there. You will not know unless you communicate with them and ask for the specific JD for jobs that match your skill set and interest you.

Hope this helps!
