Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

We reject intel folks left right and center

Our team interviewed few folks from intel. senior engineers who are part of the interview panel got upset with upper management for selecting the resumes and hence wasting their time . All intel folks have big key words in resume but less content.

I blame the process at intel. Every one owns small piece of the puzzle and never bother to understand the bigger picture. Hence intel folks fet rejected at amd , apple and other companies

I see the Intel arrogance ripe on this thread. Stinky Stinky stench of arrogance. 🤢 Yucky! Guys wake up and smell the roses. We are now #6th semiconductor company in the world from our past #1 position. And with God as our witness we will continue to slide below #6.

Reason is we are fundamentally broken. We are filled with long timers doing minimal work and playing politics. We have a micro-culture that we are very proud of, “Our Zbb culture”. We look at our competition with spite instead of aspiration and a desire to emulate. Expecting another 50% layoff in DCAI very soon. Soon we will be a relic like IBM

By some “Bruce Almighty” miracle If I was in charge of CPM (good thing I’m not), anybody who has been here more than 15 years with no growth in last 3 would be pushed out with their fat severance packages tagged to to their as--s on the way out the door. We really need a purge here

This is 100% cap and you know it. Half of those companies are ex-Intel. AMD, Nvidia et. al. use Intel as free training and poach employees after they’ve been with Intel 3-4 years.

I’ve been at Intel 4 years, and half the people I’ve worked with that have left have gone to AMD, Nvidia, Qualcomm, etc.

Entire MI server validation team at amd is a joke . They hired bunch of folks from IBM and intel and other companies . Have title like PMTS . Do sh---y job. The predominant work is handled by fresh out of college and been with the firm for 5 plus years. IBM folks just talk

Why would AMD people (even on the weak memory validation team) listen to anything anyone from Intel has to say? T

@bki
It seems the brain drain is only going in one direction. How many can Intel lose while executing to Pat’s plan?

As previously stated, AMD wouldn't have a data center validation team without ex-Intel personnel. They're busy trying to reinvent Intel's validation infrastructure so much that people on the memory validation team are complaining about all the Intel folks telling them how to do their jobs. And THAT'S a fact.

LOL. As stated above, all the major players have heen poaching from Intel for years. Would AMD even have a server validation team if it wasn't for ex-Intel folks?

AMD, Apple, ARM, Broadcom, Google, NVidia, etc. have been poaching talent from Intel for decades and continued to do so until at least the middle of last year. You wanna tell me that somehow Intel changed since then? LOL!
