There are lots of rumors that the layoffs in August will be big, but of course, there are also people who are skeptical that it will happen. I don't have any insights, but for those who think these are just unfounded rumors, I'm wondering why you think so, what are the arguments that cuts won't happen?

Maybe the stock doubles and nvidia AI run pulls us out of the dumpster. Agree with the others. The entire purpose of this site is info sharing about layoffs. If you don’t want to hear it, stay away.
yes, they've been happening in small waves, that's the point. Layoffs are nothing new. Yes, there probably will be some in July/August, not sure how big, but yes, there probably will be some. Accept it and move on. What else can you do. If you're worried, start looking for a new job now as a backup plan. It's not rocket science here.
Two points. People complaining about fear mongering on a layoff RUMOR site are weird. What do you think people are supposed to talk about here? Second point. Dell's results were rough. There will be impacts on personnel. All you have to do is look at what they have done historically to guess what they will do in the future.

Op, don't post on this forum unless you already anticipate unrealistic claims about what will happen. Yes, there will be layoffs. Most will be small with the possibility of a larger than expected one happening in the near future. Any person with any smarts will realize this. There is nothing magical here.
OP - There are lots of rumors that your a-s will be on fire and blasted off to moon in August and it will be big. Those who think this is just an unfounded rumors can post your arguments.
