Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Pay Bans

Does anyone know how the pay bans are going to affect our current salaries? Are you taking a pay cut or will we maxed out on the lesser ban pushing us out? Catch 22 for sure. Or are we to leveled up with a pay increase to offset the cost to do business for AT&T.

The title of this thread is accurate. AT&T will soon ban future pay for a majority of employees!

Your salary does not immediately change if you move from one geo zone to another unless you are below the minimum of the new band, in which case you would get a bump up to that minimum.

If you are moving into a higher paying geo zone, you will be lower in the band and theoretically more likely to get a larger annual raise.

If you are moving into a lower paying geo zone, you will be higher in the band and less likely to get an annual raise. If you are above the new band, you will keep your existing salary, but you will never get an annual raise and will have to rely on Connection Awards.

Your salary is the same but your geo zone changes the range. If that’s what you’re asking. So San Ramon to Dallas is going to sting for future raises going N3 to N2.

Your salary should not change but your salary range will.

You would just be closer to maxing out or potentially already maxed when moving to an area with lower pay.

With a paragraph like that you should immediately be let go and have to pay back your salary.
