Thread regarding Seagate Technology Inc. layoffs

Ever shorter deadlines

It is not possible that the boss doesn't know that the work cannot be done in such a short time. However, he ignores it doesn't want to hear any arguments that it is unrealistic to expect everything to be done within that timeframe. I am totally burned out. I need this job and Seagate is taking advantage of it. How do you deal with unrealistic expectations?

Yeah. At this point. I’m working 10% less. Mission first was the battle cry to justify them illegal drive sales. People always. Only when RIFd to pay that dividend. The 22nd can’t get here soon enough. That final check better not bounce.

You could be doing the job that 6 people used to do and it still wouldn't be good enough.

Work 40 hours and no more. If you get yelled at or fired you can probably sue them as long as you document it or record it on your phone

Just say the magic words until you feel calm again: "mission first, people always!"
