Morale is at an all time low

This company nowadays only motivates me to look for new opportunities out there every day… They used to pay more attention to employee motivation and morale in general. But now, it's like they don't even care about it in the slightest?

Morale has been terrible for at least 5 years. It's a different company and will never change back. They pay a lot better then competition, unless you are lazy. That is why they are able to keep people. Either you are making good money compared to an industry standard and can't afford to leave or you are lazy and too lazy to go find another job that will pay you more. That's the only reasons anyone who had been with the company long enough to be part of the "good Ole days" would still stick around. Those days are gone forever and have been gone forever for years. And if you think a union will make it better, it won't. Amazon will make sure life is even more living he-l for you and the union will fight for a dime raise each year for you.

On cornerstone they claim wfm cares about recycling, when they don't. Even the recycle area where customers get utensils and throw out garbage in appropriate "recycling " doesn't get recycled. They just toss it all in the garbage.

Morale is at an all time low because how do you motivate people that are underpaid? If there was incentive to produce a good days work at TM level maybe some of those people might care.

this is a blessing in disguise for most younger employees. you should hate jobs like this because retail sucks in general. anything that motivates people to leave for a better career is good.

just think about the old WF and its fake, hippy atmosphere that lured in so many people that wasted years of their lives in this industry for nothing. you can tell the 'lifers' all regret not leaving this company a long time ago.

It's a business what do you expect ? They try to have the image of caring about people and the planet. It's all a sham and anyone that believes that or preaches it to you is either a fool or a liar.

The real truth is they actually don’t care. Bezos does not care. If he could replace you with a robot tomorrow he would do it in a heartbeat and he’s been very honest about that. You’re not doing important work. Go do something else. Find a different purpose. Especially if you are young. If you are over 50 and you’re stuck there, it sucks, but do your best, hopefully you might be able to make it till you collect SSI checks.
