Is there ever going to come a moment when we'll know we're safe, if nothing else then for the next six months or so? It is tiring to have to worry about layoffs non-stop. Even a day after one round, people always start speculating on when we'll hear about more layoffs - and with good reason. Whatever happened to job security?

Instead of worrying about being laid off, how about spending that time sharpening your job skills. Each employment is an At Will, there is no such permanent job. Equipped yourself with readiness to find a new job if the next one up happens to be you! Don't holding an umbrella waiting for the rain. Empowering yourself.
there will be another one next year that is certain. FLD has not hit his 5 year plan and F5 is confused over its identity?

Expect more layoffs and especially if F5 has an underperforming quarter/year.
Job "security" is a SF term. Get over it. If you want to be in control run your own business.
