Anyone tried pretending to be a protected class for career advancement

Know of anyone who is pretending to be. Protected class for career advance? Seems like it would be a winning strategy

Yes. I put on a wig and a dress and duct taped my d1-k to my left leg, but only because my supervisor asked me to.

I had a meeting with a woman who used a Landback.org wallpaper as her zoom background. She was worthless and didn’t contribute to anything productive getting done. She was always focused on some DEI initiative instead of doing actual work.

Pay for an Ancestry.com DNA test. You never know if you qualify for a "diversity and inclusion" exception until you understand your DNA heritage.

Haha I know a few people in EMIT that were/are invested completely in their identity versus whatever their actual job was at the time. For some it’s worked well, for others not so much. None of them were competent, so I’m not sure what the differentiator was besides right place/right time.

Great to know that most of these culture warriors will be dead or retired by the next decade. Ugly times we live in.

For the last year I have been identifying as a black disabled le----n. I do nothing all day, rarely show up for work and was ranked outstanding last year, hoping to add the “with distinction” tag this year, if not it’s back to the lawyers, HR, and EEOC.

The only legally protected, and actually earned protected status is veteran, and it’s done jack sh-t for me.

@1vgb+1mul8hj8 self-identification is all you need per Civil Rights Act. The only classes with an objective standard are veteran and native american

If you do in fact decide to identify as something different than you were born to be or started the company as being, what is the process to verify your new “change”?

Don't be so naive. We're all just humans at the end of the day, and we all want the "haves" so we don't be the "have nots."

You're all disgusting at one point in your career or another.

The completely unwarranted transphobic and racist/s-xist comments on this anonymous site really make you wonder who all the extremely low class people are that are walking amongst us.

In today's work world, survival is no longer based on being the smartest, fittest, hardest working, etc.

If you are a male, have your HR records updated ASAP to reflect a change in your name from just Bob, to either Caitlyn Jenner or Dylan Mulvaney. This will put you immediately into a protected class (PIP proof) and as an added benefit allow you access to places where you can see a lot of T&A, without having to pay for it.

Or you could try my highly successful strategy of claiming to be a mentally challenged black female of Chinese origins named Shaniqua Wong. PS. if you are female then go with this strategy.

Just remember kiddies, in this new world we live in, our survival is no longer based on Grandpaapy's old rules of succeeding in life, by being the smartest, fittest, hardest working, etc........but now highly dependent on how you play the game,

Like my dear departed Pappy used to say, "Don't hate the Playa, just master the game!"

Signed,

Tell them you believe you are a woman if you are a man. Wear a purse and some heels to work and voila protected
