Dont listen to the nay sayers. While I agree, there are many better companies to work at, I think this is a good place to cut your teeth and get experience. Leadership is not for everyone, and thats okay. I would take advantage of online courses in data, analytics, communicating with people. Learn Excel, maybe Tableau, PowerBi and push yourself to learn and pusue things on your own. Take advantage of job shadowing, and most importantly build relationships with people you work with as well as outside of your primary workgroup. Leaders cross over as leaders in other organisations, so if you have been at the company for a while, its worth pursuing. You can transfer those skills somewhere else. I would alos advise to learn about programs and processes other companies use. One downside with Allstate is they have non industry standard platforms and processes. Not bad for them, but not great when you go to another company. Not impossible to overcome either. Good luck and nothing wrong with bettering yourself. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best with Allstate. I hate to say it, but days are most likely numbered for most everyone.
Former CSL here: be prepared to think about and work your job 24/7 in order to stay on top of things.
The best thing you can probably do is sleep with people directly above you and secretly record it for blackmail purposes.
Why someone would want to try and make a career of this sinking ship is beyond me. You should be looking at other companies rather than trying to get into a job that will be gone within a year or two.
Its who you know and who you blow. Or just be a real sick up while also being a protected class.
