For those that like their schools, has anyone contacted their schools on the matter? And what has been their response to all this? Is it worth trying to talk to the school about leaving Follett?

Unless you’re really making a good impression, most campus higher ups don’t care what happens with the bookstore staff . Some do , but many also feel like bookstore management should be kissing their feet for allowing them to operate at their school .
Students at every university or college thought the bookstore rips them off. This is always true.
So, why would the university care? Students' perception of the bookstore made it easier for the administration to take the blood money in the first place.
With the advances of IA and EA Bookstore Management is about to get a bit easier. BNED just said they are lowering commissions or dropping stores all together that do not participate in FDC. Follett has and will to remain competitive. As margins get tighter- there will be less profit to share. The industry is changing and Admin. will start looking for people who understand the business and have an entrepreneurial mindset.

And JRC is counting their profits! Whilst you are busting your bottoms!
Yeah!
JRC win!
Yes they might care then. I don't know any stores that are at that point just because anyone was laid off. We're all scrambling to adjust it's true but every store I've spoken to is managing, certainly enough that faculty and students shouldn't notice.
We're struggling with coverage here but the store is open, rental check in is happening and graduation is moving forward.
They don't care unless their commission check is affected.
Maybe when parents, students, and faculty scream, they might?!
You really think a disgruntled bookstore employee/former employee will convince the campus to drop a contract?
They don't care unless their commission check is affected.
1ayi+1mqzm89g: 💯 our campus leaders only care about getting free sh-t and using us when it suits them.
Here to second nobody gives a sh-t. Especially your campus community, they do not tend to consider Follett employees as valued members of their campus community.
Nobody gives a sh-t.
Hey there, Home Office. Thumbs up🖕
